Hi, I’m Rachel Elzey
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in St. Petersburg, Florida, with a Master of Science in Social Work from Columbia University. I’ve spent over five years in mental health and ten years in healthcare settings, and I’m passionate about providing compassionate, evidence-based therapy. I work with a wide range of clients, but I specialize in supporting LGBTQ+ and TGNB-identified individuals, as well as those navigating the challenges of pregnancy and the postpartum period. My approach is grounded in understanding, respect, and a commitment to honoring your unique path. Therapy, to me, is a collaborative process where we work together to find the tools to build a better life. Developing a strong, trusting relationship is key to making sure therapy feels safe and effective. I’m excited to join you on your journey toward healing, growth, and self-discovery.
My Approach
I aim to create a space that’s both warm and real. I’m someone who will listen closely, pick up on the things that matter, and offer both support and a little bit of a push when needed. Humor is an important part of my approach as it helps foster connection and eases tough moments. I also strive to create a space that is focused on social justice, and the real impact systems of oppression, power, and privilege have on our lives. My approach blends understanding of your unique experiences, evidence-based modalities, mindfulness techniques, and building in practical skills to help you make meaningful changes in your life.

Talk Therapy
Talk therapy offers a safe space for individuals, couples, and adolescents to explore emotions, resolve challenges, and improve mental well-being. Using evidence-based modalities, we can work together to gain insight, build coping skills, and foster healthier relationships.
Accelerated Resolution Therapy
Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is a powerful, evidence-based treatment that helps individuals process and resolve trauma, anxiety, and emotional distress quickly, restoring emotional well-being through guided visualization and relaxation techniques. ART is a tool that can either be used as an alternative or complement to talk therapy.
Perinatal mental health
Perinatal mental health therapy supports individuals navigating the emotional challenges of pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period. Using specialized approaches, we can work together to build resilience and enhance your mental well-being during this transformative life stage.
